Senam Kalitsi is our Senior Associate. He is a lawyer with an active extended career of over 13 years in the financial services industry in Ghana. His expertise in banking and finance practice is in investor relations, M&As, special assets management and corporate restructuring, credit risk & debt structuring. He was active in the field as a Customer Relationship Manager, during which time he developed a profound understanding of the banking and finance challenges of personal as well as SME customers and a variety of bank-wide support functions in special investigations and due diligence, operational risk management, change management and strategic planning.
He managed many credit projects in various sectors and led teams in all aspects of delinquent accounts portfolio management. He led the development and implementation of retail credit risk management, particularly for early-stage delinquency. These experiences give him a rare understanding of credit risk which should be useful for credit counterparties. This conscientious and meticulous Senior Associate combines his preference for alternative dispute resolution rather than litigation, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for early mutually beneficial settlement.
He is also the legal advisor for the largest mutual fund in Ghana with an asset portfolio in excess of four billion cedis. He is an Insolvency Practitioner and a member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring & Insolvency Advisors (GARIA).
